Our Teacher - Mrs Adams

RosieFollowing a career in the equine industry as a professional groom and riding instructor, I re-trained as a teacher and qualified six years ago. I have been at The Batt for five years now where I have taught in Year 1 and Reception. I am passionate about promoting learning through play and have a real interest in Continuous Provision. I love being outdoors and I’m not shy of getting up to my elbows in mud! My passion lies within Early Years as I love watching how quickly the children develop in their first year of school. Outside of school I am a keen potter and I also spend a great deal of time mucking out horses!

Our Teacher - Mrs Wilson

I have been a teacher for 21 years. I love that my job allows me to be creative and facilitates children to become lifelong learners. Throughout my years at the Batt School, I have worked across all the different year groups. I am currently the Early Years Class teacher/Lead alongside Ms Adams, this position has allowed me to journey with the children into their world of magic and exploration and I absolutely love it! Who wouldn’t want to be on such a wild adventure?

At home, I am mum to 4 children which is very, very loud!!! We are a busy household and recently I have been left wondering whether I have a part time job as an Uber driver. When I get a few minutes to myself, I love to read or listen to books on Audible whilst I am walking. I have recently completed a walk of 63 miles in 21 hours around the coast of the Isle of Wight and my next challenge is to complete The Saharan Ultra, which is two marathon distances over 2 days. I seem to have discovered a competitive streak in my old age!
